Birthday Gift Program
Our birthday gift program allows you to honor the spirit of someone you love by making a contribution to Susan's Retreat in their name. They will receive a birthday card from Susan's Retreat informing them of your donation in their honor. If you are celebrating a milestone in your own life and would like to ask your loved ones to commemorate the occasion by giving the gift of a retreat to a woman or man with breast cancer, we will provide you with a personalized invitation to give.
Fundraising Captains
If you are part of a community in which you can raise awareness about Susan's Retreat and solicit even small contributions from a wide audience, we need your help! Do you work in a high-traffic retail store or office? Are you part of a religious organization, community service group, or alumni association with whom you could initiate a fundraising campaign? If so, we will work with you to design informational materials and fundraising tools to make it easy for you to support our work.
Individual Walkers
Our Annual Walk, in beautiful Ipswich, Massachusetts, is an outpouring of support for women and men battling breast cancer. If you or someone you love has battled this disease, you know what toll it takes on patients and families. Our walk takes place alongside the ocean in Ipswich in memory of Susan Nickerson, whose love of her home there inspired her to provide something pleasurable and uplifting to people battling breast cancer. We depend on the spirit and commitment of our walkers to renew our energy each year.
Walk Volunteers
Help ensure a successful Annual Walk by serving as a walk volunteer. Manage the registration table, sort pledge forms, hand out water and t-shirts, answer walkers' questions, or be a cheerleader! If you want to contribute to the success of the Annual Walk, but don't feel that fundraising is an option, please consider volunteering.
Volunteer Translators
We strive to work with women and men from diverse communities and backgrounds. If you are a speaker of a language other than English, and would be willing to help us expand our reach, please contact us. We welcome all volunteers but are especially in need of speakers of Haitian-Creole, Portuguese, Russian, and Vietnamese.

Charitable Partners Program
We depend on our partnerships with fine hotels and resorts to provide breast cancer patients with a break from life in treatment. If you are a member of the hospitality industry, please consider donating gift certificates that we may use to facilitate retreats. If you are an individual or business with access to credit cards rewards points that may be redeemed for travel, and would like to donate rewards to Susan's Retreat, you can offset the cost of providing our services.
Corporate Donors
Corporate donors are vital partners in our effort to provide breast cancer patients with a gift of compassion and caring. Our partners institute matching gifts programs in their companies, offer promotions to their customers for supporting Susan's Retreat, and make tax-deductible donations that allow us to serve those in need. We work with donors to tailor partnerships to meet our needs and theirs.
Walk Teams
Maximize your fundraising efforts and form a team to participate in our Annual Walk! Our walk, in beautiful Ipswich, Massachusetts, is an outpouring of support for women and men battling breast cancer.
